Music Maker 2016 install on 2016 sound issues

I followed the directions in this topic and can get sound but then only static plays in the Magix Music Maker. Running windows 10 1709 on surface book 2.

Same problem only get static playing any loops. But as Andrea has been waiting a week I am not confident of getting this resolved
