Music Maker 17 in Task Manager under processes - won't delete

Music Maker 17 in Task Manager under processes and won't delete. So I sometimes get the message that two versionson Music Maker are running which will make it unstable.

I'm using Vista Home edition

Any Ideas?

Hi jaggers,

are you running two versions, i.e. got the trial version on the system as well. If so, uninstall the trial version.

Try running as administrator, via right click on the icon, and also make sure that you the patch installed for it.

Worked wonders here.

You should have version 17.0.2.6, under Help, about. Go for online update. Hopefully that will ease things for you.

Hi - I have solved the problem thanks to Man o' Lakes. I was not running two versions of Music Maker but I was running two versions of Magix MP3 Maker and Music Maker 17 was set to open and play whatever had just been exported in Magix Mp3 Maker and presumably couldn't decide which to open and therefore crashed.

Thank you for making me check if I was running two versions of Magix.

It now exports, opens in Magix Mp3 maker 15, plays the track back and puts upa message that the export has been successful - which now gives one a great sense of confidence and achievement!!
