We need more information:

Computer specification - please be specific include graphics card/chipset used

Windows version and whether 32 or 64 bit?

Have you patched MMM 2016 up to date ( version 22.0.4.72) ?

Have you put any video on the timeline?

I have spoken to Magix and there is a problem with music maker 2016. They say there will be an update shortly to solve this matter. We will have to wait and see. They said many more people had the same problem.
