Music Maker 2020 is only 32 bits and 2021 is 64 bits but does not support Windows 7, so it could be very possible that it crashes. Which version do you have? It is not really clear from your post.

@charles-leak

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As @SP. has commented Music Maker 2021 will not work correctly on Windows 7. Windows 7 was end of life January 2020 and is no longer supported either by Microsoft or Magix.

The specification for Music Maker 2021 requires Windows 10 or Windows 8.

Your options are limited:

  1. revert back to the earlier version of Music Maker you had if it is a recent version eg 2015 or later up to 2020, if it is too old then this may not be possible.

  2. upgrade to Windows 10 if you PC specification allows - with 8GB of RAM it may struggle. There is little point in upgrading to Windows 8 as it is already out of mainstream support and is end of life Jan 2023.

. . . . this computer was put together for music only . . . .

When was this?

What is the specification of your computer -see this topic for details of what is required.
