mp4 files play audio but won't display video

I just upgraded Movie Edit Pro from the 32 bit 2013 edition. I'm using a Windows laptop. That version plays all my videos with no problem but thought the time was right to update. However I can't seem to display any .mp4 files within the software. I have sound but no video. I know that the .mp4 codec was activated on first use but not having any success otherwise. I'm including a screenshot of my program with version number and codec information.

 

 

 

Any thoughts?

Hi

What is your laptop specification? See this topic for details of what is required and please quote the processor make/model in full.

If the Nvidia MX150 is the only graphics card in the laptop then, as this does not support NVENC or NVDEC, you have no Hardware Acceleration taking place on the MX 150 for video decoding or encoding, hence the black screen for the following video file codecs:

MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264 (AVCHD or MP4), H.265 (HEVC) 4:2:0 or H.265 (HEVC) 4:4:4

If the settings requested by @emmrecs are incorrectly set.
