Today I downloaded and installed the trial version of Sound Forge Pro 12.0.

I noticed a bug that we have seen since version 10.

When saving an audio mp3 file, in the "Custom settings" window, at the "ID3 Settings" tab, the check box "Save both ID3 version 1 and version 2 tags to file" does not work.

Even if we uncheck and save the template, when return to this window, the check box remains checked and the mp3 file is saved with ID3.

It's a seemingly small problem, but to perform our work it's critical. For years we have been using Sound Forge to repair faulty audio of speeches, but the custom tools we use later to split, join, index, store and retrieve these mp3 files, do not work with ID3 tags.

Currently we use Sound Forge 9.0, but we are in process of replacing and upgrading our entire hardware, and we need decide if we will remain with Sound Forge or acquire other audio editing and processing tool.

Anybody here can help with this?
