I'm exporting a Wav file (24bit 48Khz) to MP3 (320bps) via Export > (all options) in Sound Forge 15 Pro Suite Version. Every option produces random garbled scratchy playback (on both Windows Media Player and VLC).

I've combed the forum and followed the suggestion to enable the "Always proxy compressed formats". But I still get the garbled playback of MP3s. Can someone please guide me to a solution? ( I also have installed Vegas Pro 20 and am not sure if that messed up anything with Sound Forge Pro 15 install).
