Moving Documents to another location

Greetings all,

As the title says, I plan on moving the Windows libraries to a different drive to my system drive. I've already moved the music, download etc to the drive but before I move the Documents folder I thought I'd check with the gurus on here.

I've checked the Videodeluxe.ini and all the others I can find, and it looks as though just changing the documents location within the MS program settings will sort those out.

My real concern is, are there any Magix installation files in the system or registry which may mess up the loading of MS and my "extras" if it can't find the documents folder, as I don't really want to have to install it all again?

Hi Andy

Assuming you are moving the whole Documents folder, you can use the Move option in the Documents folder properties as shown below.

There is no need to move the Music, Videos, Pictures folder separately as they are inside the Documents folder.

As you can see my Documents folder is the whole W:/ drive on my PC.

The video editor should not need any file paths changing if you are currently using the default paths.

However if you have folders and files on your Desktop, then these should be inside the Documents folder, never on the Desktop.
