LAST, I DID NOT INCLUDE VERSIONS ON EITHER SOFTWARE, OR MOVIE STUDIO PLATINUM. IT IS IRRELEVANT, AS SOUNDFORGE, AS WELL AS VEGAS could BE UPGRADED INDIVIDUALLY, BUT ONLY TO A LATER VERSION, AND NOT TO THE PRO VERSION.
First things first. I have two questions concerning MAGIX website. IS IT TOO DIFFICULT, to put a CONTACT US link on the main page? Or, is MAGIX just trying to avoid being contacted? I would think it would not be too difficult. SECOND: IS IT TOO DIFFICULT, to supply an option on the PURCHASE page, that allows one to CHANGE CURRENCY for the transaction? NOW, BEFORE YOU ANSWER THAT, please listen. I KNOW I can take the amount in EUROS listed, and switch to another page to do the calculation. I deal in EUROS about 2-3 times, in my past and future lifetime. So, NO I don't know or care what the converted number is. I do CARE IF IT IS NOT AVAILABLE IN US DOLLARS. ESPECIALLY SINCE I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT MAGIX does TAKE US DOLLARS. WOULDN'T it be FAR simpler for MAGIX to simply provide an option on that PURCHASE PAGE, that would allow me to change it THERE? SECOND. I KNOW that even if it say's EUROS, that when I provide a CREDIT CARD NUMBER/INFO, that (assuming my card is good), the transaction will go through, and the proper amount based on current exchange rates WILL BE CHARGED to my CARD. I REALIZE THAT. THE PROBLEM WITH THAT response, is that I would not know PRIOR TO APPROVING THE PURCHASE how much it would be in DOLLARS!! Not only is that un-professional, and lame, but, it has helped caused MAGIX to lose a sale(s). I MAINLY do not like companies that BUY OTHER COMPANIES, like MAGIX did, when they hide behind their website, by not even giving a CONTACT US option up front, and to top it off, NOT GIVING A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL THEM AT. NOW, I know better than anyone, that a call-center (I worked in tech-support for 12 years, including the one at Microsoft, Las Colinas, TX (Excel Tech.), adds a good amount of overhead to a business. Sorry. That is a cost of doing business, at least it has been to my knowledge since the Stone-Age...Literally. It doesn't matter what work-arounds, or excuses you or some other might use to defend MAGIX on these matters. The damage was done. Maybe I should go with Corel? Perhaps by the bundled apps separately from different manufacturers? I've NEVER had a problem with the software MAGIX has now taken over development/support of, 15 years before they DID! When I was using SOUNDFORGE 5 standalone. But, not only was I going to upgrade my Vegas version to the latest, but I would've upgraded to Vegas Pro, if my copy of Vegas could've been upgraded. It could not, since it was a different product. No CROSS-GRADES? Are you kidding me? Do you not like making money? Sometimes users start out with a standard version, and if they like it, would like to UPGRADE to the PRO or a better version? But, I guess that is either a difficult concept for MAGIX, or perhaps they would rather I just go away, and spend $400-600 dollars from their competition? BECAUSE I WILL TELL YOU THIS! MYSELF AND THOUSANDS OF YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE FACED WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO UPGRADE TO A pro OR more advanced version OF MAGIX APPS. SINCE MAGIX WILL NOT ALLOW THIS, I PRESUME THEY HAVE THE HOPE THAT ****IF I LIKE THEIR SOFTWARE SO MUCH, THAT I WILL BUY THE PRO VERSION AT FULL-PRICE, AND NOT GET ANY CREDIT FOR THE INVESTMENT I MADE AT A PRIOR DATE ON THE STANDARD VERSION?????
W R O N G !!! I WILL never DO THAT. AND NEITHER WILL THOUSANDS OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. I LEARN SOFTWARE VERY QUICKLY, AS TO THOUSANDS OF MAGIX APP USERS. THIS SALE WILL GO TO YOUR COMPETITION, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ADOBE. I HATE SUBSCRIPTIONS TOO. IF MAGIX EVER BEGINS DOING THAT EXCLUSIVELY, THEY HAVE LOST MYSELF, AND MOST OF MY COLLEAGUES TO THEIR COMPETITION. LIKE IN AN ELECTION, USERS VOTES DO COUNT. AND THEY CAN COUNT AGAINST MAGIX, AND FOR THEIR COMPETITION.

Don't bother with some 'personal' offer. FIX your website, the way it should be, and I'll be happy. But, when I DO decide to invest more money in a new NL-Editing software, it won't be VEGAS, or anything you sell. That issue is closed. So is SOUNDFORGE.
I look forward to reading about, trying-out, and eventually making a purchase decision on a wide-variety of professional, and/or standard apps that accomplish the same things. I know many already I'll start with. I deal with video-editing (4K), as WELL as music production with hardware-synths, as well as virtual, and a DAW. I wanted to use Vegas/Vegas Pro for the obvious, and SOUNDFORGE/SOUNDFORGE PRO, for editing samples, and applyinjg effects and overlaying them one over the other. 'audio-compositing', so to speak;))
