Hi

Which Magix program are you trying to install the FXHome Enhance Ultra for?

Are you running the FXHome from within the Magix program as a plugin?

I am trying to run Movie Edit Pro Premium 2021. It crashes when I try to open it, so I have never run the FXHome. I have since uninstalled the FXHome, uninstalled the Movie Edit... program. Downloaded a new copy and re-installed. Without the FXHome. It still crashes on start. I uninstalled the 2021 version, downloaded the 2019 version, which used to work fine. But now I have the same problem with that crashes on startup. Here is the message:

A serious program error has occurred.

Error in module "Elements.ofx" Exception 0xc0000005"ACCESS_VIOLATION"

I don't understand your comment. It is Movie Edit Pro that I am trying to use.

@Michael-Yessik @johnebaker

My apologies.

People often post queries for the wrong product on these forum posts and I could not find anything on the net that said that plugin worked with Movie Edit Pro. but did work with Vegas. I also could not find that plugin offered as a free third party plugin as a deal with Movie Edit Pro. So I assumed wrongly you had tried that plugin with Vegas.

Your first post relates to a dynamic link library file (dll.) that seems to have been in the plugin code. either it was corrupt or not correct to work with Movie Edit Pro.

Your second post seems to indicate that when you uninstalled the FXHome Enhance Ultra plugin that you did not manage to uninstall all of the code (Enhance Ultra is an OFX based effects plugin) and some active code is still on your system and is now stopping Movie Edit Pro from functioning.

I personally am not sure on how to go about repairing that damage but John may be able to help with some suggestions.

Ray.

Hi

. . . . I have since uninstalled the FXHome, uninstalled the Movie Edit... program . . . .

Unless you clean up all the files left behind which are created on first run, then this would not achieve anything as the uninstaller knows nothing about these files - to re-install cleanly use Revo Uninstaller (free) to uninstall the program and then perform the scans to remove the files and registry fragments left behind, also uninstall the FXHome plugins

. . . . Error in module "Elements.ofx"  . . . .

This is the New Blue Elements plugin that is causing the crash uninstall this as well with Revo before doing a new install.

To re-install download the installer and then turn off your antivirus realtime/folder protection temporarily while you complete the install, some AV's block the installers, ensure your AV is turned back on once install is complete.

I rermoved the folder: C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Common\VfxPlugins
and I removed the file: C:\Programs\Common Files\OFX\Elements.ofx.

Re-installed the Movie Edit Pro Premium program and now IT DOES NOT CRASH!

It works fine. Thank you for your advice.
