What is the best way to do this? I don't see my product in my purchases. I know I purchased this product. Guess I'll have to call customer service. The Support section doesn't really help and you can't seem to email them.
I assume from this that you have logged on to your existing account at magix.com? If MEP is not shown there (which version, by the way?) then I would strongly suspect you did not buy it from Magix; perhaps you bought e.g. the Steam version? Whichever, I think you will need a confirmation of purchase and/or registration to enable sales or customer support to help you.
As always advised in such scenarios, if you are able to redownload your software do ensure you back up and safely store the installer file, preferably to an external hard drive so that you will always have it available if a similar situation arises and you need to reinstall it.
I have proof I purchased this through my bank account the version was Movie Edit Pro for $49.99 on April 3. If I am not able to download and install I will ask my bank to help me get a refund. I probably won't purchase another product from you after this. I forgot to register the serial number on my account. I have one purchase for Music Maker which was also $49.99 the other was for Movie Edit Pro $49.99. I thought I save the serial number but I guess I forgot. It's a simple mistake on my end. I purchased it from your website which the image shows. Please resolve this or I will take other measures and probably get a lawyer.
. . . . I probably won't purchase another product from you after this. . . . .
This is a user forum, provided by Magix for users to help each other, not Magix support.
. . . . I forgot to register the serial number on my account . . . . I thought I save the serial number but I guess I forgot. . . . .
Did you get the program installed and registered?
If so then go to the magix.com website and login using the My Account icon top right of the home page using the email address and password you used to register the software - probably the same one as you use here.
Once logged in click the My Products link - this will take you to your registered products page where you will find a download link and your serial number which you would have received by email.
If you did not register the software and you still have the serial number in your emails, then download the trial version of Movie Edit Pro - I assume this is the Plus version, install it, enter your serial number when asked and register the software, and then install all the extras in the second download - you will be prompted to do this, I suggest you check the leave files in download folder option unless you are limited on hard drive space.
If all the above fail email sales at magix.com quote your reference or receipt number etc requesting they resend your serial number and download link.

I am wondering if you actually read what I wrote. I am not trying to scam Magix at all. I'm being honest. I don't have my email with the information. So I guess I'm out. I don't really want to sue Magix but your custom services stinks. Other places I've ordered from keeps a record of the purchase and download on the website under the account name. I've never had to put the information in myself. I guess I'm out the $49.99 but I am not going to recommend any one to purchase a product from you. Because the way I look at it, I made a purchase and you stole my money because I am not able to download and re-install what I purchased.
I am uninstalling Magix Music Maker Plus and will never do business with you again because of how you handled my situation with Movie Edit Pro. I tried call the contact number and no one answered. If anyone asks me about your products I will say do not buy because if you need help its horrible service, they make it extremely difficult to re-install products. I refuse to use any of your products and I am boycotting your company. I should get a lawyer and sue but it's not worth the stress. Also I have my order # from the space pad I had purchased and the email that was sent to me, No download link.
I think we (responders to your earlier posts) might well ask the same thing! John EB clearly gave you an email contact address, sales@magix.com, where you would be able to request a resend of all the details of your purchase, including your serial/registration number. You say in your last post I have my order # from the space pad I had purchased and the email that was sent to me so why not send an email to the address we've both now given you, including that order number?
I forgot to register the serial number on my account but you later say Other places I've ordered from keeps a record of the purchase and download on the website under the account name
If you admit to forgetting to register your serial number how can you be so angry and claim that Magix is at fault?
Also, I remain somewhat confused by your reference in your original question and again in the latest post to reinstalling the software; at one moment you say you are unable to download the software, bought apparently only in April (this year), then you say you need to reinstall!
All the posters in this forum are, almost invariably, fellow-users, NOT Magix employees. To rant at us serves no purpose other than to raise your stress-levels. I'm sorry if you feel your treatment has not been "fair" but no-one on the forum can do anything more to help you than we have already done!
I need to re-install because I had to reset my computer and it deleted all of my programs. I kept certain records and forgot to save this one and it was accidently deleted in my email. I have no reason to lie to you. It's Magix fault because you need a better system to help customers. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Your response to me is unprofessional. I also have proof in my bank account I made the purchase. Did you even look at the attachment?http://imgur.com/5yjBWLr
That image attachment has never appeared in the forum before. Perhaps you forgot to upload it earlier?

Thank you for the additional information, that clearly explains the need for reinstalling.
Your response to me is unprofessional
I apologise if you feel that I have failed to handle your query in the manner you expect but, as I wrote before, both John EB and I are NOT Magix employees; we are fellow-users who try to help in any way we can. You've been advised, twice, to contact sales@magix.com with the full order details you referred to earlier. Have you done that?
I don't think anyone has ever doubted that you purchased the product legitimately. The additional information clearly shows why you need to redownload but we, even the moderators, can do no more than point you to the email address you need to contact.
Which part of "All the posters in this forum are, almost invariably, fellow-users, NOT Magix employees. To rant at us serves no purpose other than to raise your stress-levels" do you NOT understand.
Why don't you simply answer the questions properly? How do you expect anyone to help you if all you do is rant and rave and not follow instructions?
Did you log in to your account on Magix.com as per the instructions above and below? Answer the question. You were asked this but instead of answering, you replied each time "I have proof I purchased this through my bank account..." and "I am wondering if you actually read what I wrote. I am not trying to scam Magix at all. I'm being honest. I don't have my email with the information...." We believe you, but that is not going to get you your serial number.
Normally, when you purchase from Magix, you register and you have an account linked to your email address with the password that you created. You do remember what your email address is, I hope. If so, then login to your account, as instructed by John Baker, by clicking in the icon at the upper right hand corner on the Magix.com site and look up your serial number under My Products. All of the products that you have purchased and registered with Magix will be there. If you don't have login information, then select the other option, fill in the form and register. After that you are on your own. Here are the screens to follow:
Magix has one of the best systems out there for keeping track of serial numbers and allowing downloads. Most allow you to download for 30 days, after which you are out of luck. I have never had to put information into the Magix system, as you seem to think. It is automatic. But you still have to register when you buy and you still have to go into your account to look up the information. No one here can do that except for you!
Free advice - from now on, keep all of your serial numbers, activation codes, passwords, etc., safely stowed away in a location(s) where they can be recovered should you ever need them. This also goes for downloaded installation files of software.
I had to erase everything on my computer. I saved my download in my email it acts like it downloads but I click on the icon. It goes through the motions and doesn't open. I have even went to your website and downloaded it from there to no avail as well. I spent 200.00 and can't talk to anyone on the phone is very aggravating.
This thread was started more than three years ago. Please do not resurrect such old threads, even if your problem is very similar to that of the original poster, but rather start a new thread with your question. Please remember to include FULL details of your computer, the exact version and variant of MEP which you are trying to install and what happens, step by step, when you attempt the reinstallation. This post will show you the information we really need you to give us. Help us to help you!
