Hi, I curently use Movie Edit Pro MX (18). My first DVD burned has no sound to it. I have sound in the production but connot hear anything when watching on a DVD player to the TV set. Can anyone help?
First thing to check, perhaps, is whether the DVD actually has a sound track, by playing it on another player or on your PC. I accept it is highly unlikely that the DVD player you use has suddenly stopped playing the sound, but it is worth a check.
Second, what settings are you using when exporting the finished video to DVD? You may need to go into the Burn Screen>Advanced Settings and check what is said about the audio. You would normally have a sample rate of 48000 Hz, and the format can be either PCM Audio (standard .wav file) or .mp3. (My personal preference is for PCM but either should play on a standard DVD.)
So, perhaps a little more detail of your actual workflow, please!
Check to make sure your audio track is enabled in the timeline. If the "M" is highlighted that means the track is muted. Just click the "M" to un-mute.
This will help identify if it is the video on the disc that is in the incorrect ratio or perhaps a setting on the TV is at the incorrect ratio.... perhaps the DVD player has something to do with that as well.
