Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus

I have a "DVD Video Deluxe 2016 PLUS/Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus" which I purchased some time ago. I have a new PC and am attempting to istall it again, but it gets so far and stalls. There are no finger marks or scratches as it has been kept in the box, so I tried to download it. but it isn't showing on my list of Products, so I guess I never registered it. I tried to register it but it doesn't recognise the serial number which begins P3- followed by 30 numbers and I know is correct. Any advice please? There is also a CATOOH-CODE whatever that is?

@Fred-Burnett Hello! You can enter your serial number here to get the installer for your product: https://www.magix.com/int/support/my-service-center/product-downloads/ in case your disc cannot be read.

If you have registered it in the past you will need to enter the same e-mail address during activation or the program will tell you that the serial number is already registered to a different account. If you cannot remember your old e-mail address you need to contact support at infoservice@magix.net.

Catooh was closed some years ago. It was replaced by Producerplanet.com

Your Catooh voucher is now no longer usable.

Thanks for that but I see from "My Account" and My Products, that I registered several items including "Movie Edit Pro MX" and "Movie Edit Pro 2014" using my current email address so can't think I used another email address to register it. I suspect I didn't register the 2016 version, for which I have the box, the serial number, a card with the printed serial number on it, and a suspected faulty CD. I followed your link, but when I enter my serial number P3- followed by 30 numbers I am informed "Invalid serial number" and "Please enter a valid serial number". Should I contact  support at infoservice@magix.net ?

Try turning off your Antivirus Realtime/Folder/Ransomware protection feature and installing from CD again.

I assume you also included the hyphens between each group of 5 digits eg. P3-12345-12345-12345-12345-12345-12345.

. . . . I suspect I didn't register the 2016 version . . . .

If this was the case the program would have been running in 'trial mode', limited to 3 minute long exports and expired after 7 or 30 days.

Many thanks again. I turned off Windows Defender and the Firewall and it still stuck when the green line moved an inch, and the CD tray continually flashed. I then tried a custom install, just installing the program alone but the same problem. Yes i did include the hyphens as the example showed to do that. By not registering, I meant I assumed that was something to do on the web site in order for it to appear in My Account/My Products. To be honest I haven't used MEP for some time, and for a reason I cannot recall I reverted back to installing MEP 2014. It's because I have recently purchased another PC that I thought I would try again. I have now tried installing the program alone, having untiicked the other options, and I was successful, maybe I didn't wait long enough on the latest attempt, but I got it installed and completed and clicked "activate and register immediately on line". was asked if I had an account and completed all the information requested, but finished up with "An error has occurred." and "Your registration could not be completed. Please try again later!".

After ttempting the above unsuccessfully 4 times, I find I had 4 emails saying "Thank you for successfully registering for this product:" Opening MEP from the new desktop shortcu, I'm immediately faced with a request to "Activate with serial number". After that I go round in a circle again!
