Movie Edit Pro 2013 will not play audio on m4v files

Hi all,

I have been having so much difficulty getting MEP 2013 to play audio for my files.  I'm having issues with all files, but seems to be worse with m4v.  I've checked to be sure my computer is not muted nor do I have settings in MEP 2013 muted.  I was having issues with .mov files but discovered I could right click, select Audio and waveform display and select Restore audio object and it would work.  However, not on m4v files.  I really don't know what else to try.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad 32 bit running Windows 7.

Thanks in advance!

Are they possibly protected by DRM copy protection? I gather that Apple uses M4V to encode their iTunes video files. Otherwise, try changing the file extension to mp4.

I note you've not provided any feeback to this month old reply, nor to your post 'Movie Edit Pro 2013 will not play audio on m4v files' nearly 3 weeks ago.
