Movie edit pro 16 slow playback

markoceka wrote on 12/28/2011, 8:12 AM

I have tried to put all the playback properties on minimum, but still I can not play the video without chopping, so there is no way I can edit anything. The audio and video also do not sync, so I am losing my mind trying to make the program work.

The  videos I would like to edit have a resolution of 1480 x 1080 and are mp4 format.

Could someone give any valuble answer, I would be really glad.

My computer: 2 months old Toshiba laptop, 4 GB RAM, AMD quad-core processor 1,8 GHZ, ATI Radeno HD 4200, Windows 7

You might try experimenting with the playback cache settings, which for me sometimes influence preview monitor performance significantly.

And also the Video Mode settings. Try with the HW Accel option and the Default to see if that makes any difference.

If you can upload a small example file then I'll try it.
