Using "Title" tab and "General" setting I am placing a large letter "C" on the screen and only about 3/4 of the font is in view. Even if I change the settings to make the letter smaller it still does not change what I see.
How can I fix the font box size to be able to view the whole letter?

Try adding a space or two after your letter. I found this trick worked with a very fancy font 'Cafe Lounge' which even needed several dummy spaces in front of the first character to have it show completely.
Note: If the added spaces cause a line wrap you'll probably need to reduce your font size a little.
