I see there's been no progress on fixing the bugs in the MEP 2013 Movement Templates which I reported 3 months ago. And there was also this thread:
http://www.magix.info/uk/movement-templates-inconsistent-behaviour.forum.809718.html
I've just hit those (and some possibly new!) problems again while making a short video for my grandsons. Normally very conservative, for once I'm using lots of effects, so I started working my way through the templates. But they really are a mess!
The most obvious flaw is the double-click behaviour. As just a few examples from my first of six rows: Earthquake, Heart-beat, Jump, Kaleidoscope... these all preview the effect in the monitor. But Final Scene, First Scene, Move above bottom, Move bottom above, Move left right, Move right-left, these apply it to the selected object.
And, if no object is selected, the effect gets applied to the last one selected. Even if that was hours ago and is way off out of sight in an earlier part of the timeline. I had a couple like that which remained undiscovered until a late stage, costing me much time in isolating the cause.
Presumably the only way to get a preview of these is to drag the icon into the monitor AND then click the Play button?
Another type of bug is that some just don't apply the intended effect. For example, Zoom above, Zoom down, Zoom in center, Zoom left, Zoom out center, Zoom right - these all grossly stretch the image sideways.
