I'm using Samplitude my notes are off beat and I want to move them in place but they seem to only move to a certain spot ex: [- ] or [ -] when I try to get it [ - ] how do I control the midi note bars?

I'm not a Samplitude user but, to time-correct the placement of Midi notes you need to use the Quantise feature that I'm pretty certain Samplitude has. I suggest you search the manual for Quantise information.
Hopefully, a Samplitude owner/user will see this thread and post with more details.

Hi,
As Jeff mentioned, you need to adjust the Grid quantize value to the precision that you want. If set to 4, meaning 4 beats per bar, then moving or clicking on the Quantize button for a selected note(s) will move it to the nearest beat. I suggest that you watch some or all of Kraznet's tutorials on MIDI for Samplitude. See the link below for the first one. Then check out his channel.
