Hi

Windows 10 - was this an upgrade from 7 or 8 and MEP 2015 stoppeed working after the upgrade ?

If yes to the above then try reinstalling the software using this procedure.

Otherwise we need more information on what changed to stop MEP working.

For johnebaker

Thanks for replying...   Not an upgrade to Windows 10.  This is a brandy new HP desktop that came with Win 10.

It had been working with Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 just fine for a month.  The last thing I did before this problem was was export a movie to mpeg4 using the "burn" button and the dialogs that pop up. After that no playback.

Before I got your reply today I had already uninstalled and reinstalled and updated Mag.MovEPro2015 using the in-program dialog for "online update".  Still has the problem--but no error codes or dialogs now--just the problem where the playback player does not work.  Neither video or audio.  Just for kicks I opened a project, separated some audio from a video clip and then opened up the audio effects menu and selected timestretch/resample and hit the previewing play button within the timestretch dialog box.  No playback.  As for the computer, system wide it's ok.  All movies and music play with other programs, internet, etc.  So...do you recommend that I follow the pdf and the scan now instructions?

Thanks, Pete

Hi Pete

Thanks for the info.

I suspect a Windows update has corrupted or messed up some files - this has occurred a couple of times with my laptop and PC, however the failures were not identical but the results were the same - a corrupted display.

. . . . do you recommend that I follow the pdf and the scan now instructions . . .

I would suggest you follow the pdf instructions to re-install MEP.
