Does this software allow mixing photos and videos within a comprehensive slide show? I am also having trouble converting some videos from some cameras to actual video display. The format from the cameras is not compatible with my existing software.

There are a lot of cameras that use a proprietary format for their video, these cameras usually come with software that they have been designed to be used with, and that is pretty much the only way to use them. You might need to locate a conversion tool to make that possible in any software other then the one the camera is known to work in.

With PhotoStory 9, I am able to import/load photos and videos, for the sideshow. The effects you can add to a photo can also be added to a video.
