mmmP is not playing or recording anything!!!!

hello i am new to this midi stuff and i just pluged my rock smith cable and guitar and wanted to just play on the guitar and record it but now nothing is working when i tried to move the "objectes and or click on them they won't make a sound or do anything not even play! please help me

If you are trying to record MIDI then this will not work.

The Rocksmith cable enables analog audio over the USB port rather than using the sound card ports for recording.

You should be setting the record source for the track to Audio Rec.

When you select the record button you will be offered the option to select the source - yours should appear as a named device, select it and adjust the other settings as required then hit the big Record button.
