MMM 23 / VST folders lost

jameshansford wrote on 7/23/2022, 2:31 PM

Anyone know why I have to re-scan all of VST libraries upon the upgrade from MMM 22 to 23? Is there a way around this so I don't have to manually add every external VST again?

(little moan) Incredibly disappointed to see that Magix has not listened and that MMM 23 does not include 24 bit export... why oh why does Magix not listen to their users? and no I don't want to use /buy Samplitude... I want 24bit export capabilities on MMM.

Hi

. . . . Anyone know why I have to re-scan all of VST libraries upon the upgrade from MMM 22 to 23? . . . .

The initial scan after upgrade is to catalogue the VST's and determine if any from Magix need updating.

Music Maker has always scanned the VST folders on startup, until MMM 2023 you may not have noticed this as it was in small text bottom left corner of the splash screen.

MMM 2023 now has a separate scanning' dialog which you see to the left of the splash screen on every start.

There is also and additional popup dialog for when the scan fails a VST, though there is an issue with this popup, you cannot read it as it is covered by the splash screen, Magix are aware of this.

. . . . MMM 23 does not include 24 bit . . . . I want 24bit export capabilities on MMM . . . .

Have you asked Magix?

Do you need 24 bit?
