Hi

. . . . Music maker 2015 downloads stops halfway through and reports database has not been installed. Send information to Magix - nobody there. Windows 7. . . . .

Is this the first part of the program or the extras, ie Soundpools, effects, templates etc,  that is reporting the database is not there?

Have you removed or disabled the Firebird database software which Music Maker needs to use?

I haven't done anything the menu just says the database is missing send a report to Magix - when this is done a message returns unable to send - your broadband may be off. My broadband is not off! I have sent several emails to Magix technical with little success. I just want my money back now. I am surprised that a German company is so lackadaisical.
