When I export an album as mp3 to my music folder, on playback the start of each song is clipped.
The only way I can get out of it is to move the red track marker in ALS to around two seconds before the actual start of the track. This is infuriating! It used to work perfectly. I suspect my PC has some timing error but I really don't know where to begin.

It is very unlikely that it is a timing error on your PC
Can you post a screenshot showing the timeline from the beginning or better upload a hires image to somewhere like Dropbox or one of the many sharing sites and post a link to it?
Are you exporting as one single mp3 or each individual track as a mp3 - what options are you selecting for export?
Have you set track markers at the beginning of each track?

Hi John,
If you can see the image, it shows the track marker just before the actual music waveform starts. This is typical of the way I tag tracks before exporting the project as mp3s - in separate tracks all in one go.
This clipping has never happened before. Over the weekend, I recorded an audio stream using Audacity. Positioned the track markers as before and there was no clipping of the start of the track.
