MIDI not recording in Music Maker Free

I have recently downloaded the newest version of Magix's Music Maker software (the free version) in order to try out before buying it. I managed to get my midi keyboard working and the program plays me back the sound, but sometimes it just doesn't record. I have tried playing with the keyboard built into the software to make sure it wasn't a connection issue and it won't record that either even though the bar shows that its receiving input. Sometimes when I mess around with the settings inside ASIO4ALL I can get it to record briefly for a minute or two before it stops again.

I have linked screenshots of my ASIO4ALL settings and Magix audio settings because I am not quite sure if I understand how they work. If anyone can help, thank you :)

Hi,

It looks ok. Are you just selecting a track to record on to other than track 1?, in your case track 1 is the only one with an instrument and armed for MIDI recording?

Are you inserting a blank MIDI object of a defined length or are you just clicking on the red record button and you start playing (the best way?

The yellow bar at the top is a range bar and the playback marker jumps back to the beginning when reached. However, the MIDI object should keep on recording. You may want to extend the yellow bar to the right to cover the length of your recording before starting.

Can you nail down exactly what the parameters and circumstances are when recording doesn't work?
