MIDI drawing notes doesn't work anymore Music Maker 2018

I downloaded the newest version of Magix Music Maker 2018 and the drawing tool in the MIDI editior doesn't work anymore. It used to work before I downloaded a new version. When I draw a note, the note is selected but when I stop drawing, the note immediately disappears. I also tried 'ctrl' but that doesn't work either. Everything else is the same in the MIDI editor. Note: The pattern drawer DOES work. It's only the single note drawer. Is there anyone who can help me? Or is this a bug.

Hi.

I've just tried this very quickly by drawing a single "new" note on an existing MIDI track; it stays and plays back so not disappearing here!

So, can you give precise step by step directions to what you are doing, right from the point where the workscreen initially appears, so that other users can follow your steps and see if they get the same result?

Also, can you confirm you are running version 25.1.2.78, and which variant of MM you actually have?

Hi,

Click on the Combi-Tool Note Pencil at the top, to the left of the arrow button, or press Ctrl+2. You probably have the Pattern drawer selected or something else.

What is your "newest version?" I have 25.1.2.78.

I do have version 25.1.2.78.

In the video you can see that when I try to draw a note it doesn't stay. And I've always done it this way, it started when I started using this version. I have no idea what is wrong...

And, I suggest that you get a video screen capture program so that you don't have to use a camera to film your screen. The result is not very good. There is a free one called Debut by NCH. At least, they say it is free, but they seem to want me to pay. I used a previous version for several years.

Well after this problem, some of my USB ports also stopped working. When I sent my laptop to the manufacturer, it turned out there were problems with my motherboard so that one is replaced. After I installed the programme again, it suddenly worked again... I don't think this is the answer you hoped for, I'm sorry! So good luck with the problem...

I had the same problem today and restarted my PC. After the restart, the problem was gone.
