MEP2016 Plus - Re-naming Default Files 'Record - 0001'

Hi Gang

Sorry for any repetition, in an effort to slim line capture file sizes, I'm naturally beginning and ending capture selectively and then would like to Re-Name the Defaulted Label: 'Record - 0001' to a specific name. Is that acceptable? If so, it seems easier to capture several separate pieces first, then close the application, then go into the capture drive and re-name all of them from there? Windows won't allow re-naming/modification if the application is still open.

Or Is there a better method to accomplish this?

Hi Mike.

This may seem an odd way to go about it but you could download the Free Nikon NX Studio software and copy the files to new folders in which you can batch rename them. You could then delete the original files and folder. It can batch process jpegs as well.

Absolutely. Magix will sometimes "hang on" to files, even after you've closed the capture window or project, so yes, just shut down MEP, then move/rename the captured files to your heart's content.

Other renamers include "Renamer" (my favourite) and "Advanced Renamer".
