MEP 2022 freezes for 10-seconds everytime | 30-seconds after startup!!

I have just tried deleting the ''Store Cache'' via public documents, cleared my entire computer's cache afterwards too, restarted MEP 3x, but each time this fault still occurs. :/

OK, I'm confused. Probably because I've missed something. If so please let me know.

This topic is about your MEP 2022 freezing. You say "Since a few weeks ago the program has developed a bug, which now causes it to freeze-up for 10-seconds, approx 30-seconds after the program is opened... Every single time!"

You also say "I have not made any changes to my computer's settings / nor installed any new software, during the past few weeks or months, which could of caused this bug".

And yet in this topic of yours here, https://www.magix.info/us/forum/how-to-make-movie-studio-2024-platinum-less-visually-painful--1336259/ you say that "I saw that there was an upgrade-offer, to upgrade to the 2024 version for just £15... ...And so I paid that, to see if the new version would repair this fault | And it has."

Am I correct in assuming that buying and installing MS2024 has NOT repaired the "fault" with MEP 2022.

It could well be that having MS 2024 and MEP 2022 on the same computer is causing the Magix boot up "phone home" to be slow giving the effect of freezing.

I hope you can see why I'm confused.

I did try-out MEP (2024), yes.

The program worked fine, (in terms of that it didn't experience this freeze upon start-up)...
But due to how visually-painful the colour-scheme/contrast is for the 2024 version, I terminated my purchase of that version, plus fully uninstalled it from my computer.

So there is now 0% remaining residue of the 2024 version on my computer | Only the 2022 version.

As there unfortunately doesn't seem to be any way of fixing this bug with the 2022 version of MEP...

Does anyone know the link of where I can pay to upgrade to the (2023) version, please??

*As hopefully that will not have this bug / But also not have the visually-painful contrast of the 2024 version.

With the release of the 2024 version the 2023 version ceased to be available to "buy", either as an Upgrade or an initial purchase.

The only suggestion I can offer is that you email infoservice@magix.net, explain what you would like to do and ask if they are able to assist you in obtaining the 2023 upgrade.

I don't think this would help.

I have tested several versions of MEP/MMS and the only pause I do see is when the Media pane is being populated with the file icons/images.

If the objects are displayed as icons the pause can be quite short, if the pane is set to Large icons, ie the video clips have images, then it takes longer, in both cases the length of the pause depends on how many clips are in the folder being displayed. This behaviour is normal.

Is this when you are seeing the pause?

Versions tested: 2015, 2016, 2022, 2023 and 2024
