MEP 2015 - I'm trying to burn multiple dvd's...

I'm trying to burn multiple dvd's, and can't figure out, where the burn program is putting the encoded file, for multiple burns. As I understand it, it s/b putting the encoded file, into a folder, for Speed BurneR; however, I've tried to burn from the only file, in that folder, and it gives me an "Incompatible disc" message, on the player, and the write, to the dvd doesnt't near fill up the disc, as it should, with a correct burn. (Burning one original dvd DOES produce a correct burn, which pretty much fills up the dvd, as it should.)

Thanks for any help,

David

Hi

The encoded files go in a folder called DVD Image xxxxxxx or BD H264 xxxxxx, where xxxxxx = name of the project, in the folder pointed to by the Disc Images path in the programs settings Folders tab..

If you have a burned disc already it is quicker to use a program like Nero or ImgBurn (freeware) to burn further multiple copies from the disc or use the files in the folder specified above.

MEP will burn Blu-ray to a standard DVD disc providing the movie is no morre than 20-25 mins long, however if you use another program to burn the files, in the folder specified above, to the wrong type of disc, then you will get the error message

. . . . "Incompatible disc" message . . . .

Thanks for responding John; however, I tried to use your info, to no avail. I posed this question, to the Magix staff, and their answer worked, and was VERY simple - to burn multiple dvd's - once you have properly encoded, and burned the first disc, you simply hit "Burn", then, once the dialog comes up, you click on the button, that says, "USE ALL". Do the same thing for every additional disc you want to burn. The name, on that button is NOT intuitive!! I suggest they change the name, of that button!!

Hi

That certainly is another way of doing this, however it is not efficient.

I have since found that there is also 2 other ways using MEP once you have a created 1 disc or an image using Image Recorder.

Select File, Burn CD/DVD as shown in the image below

Copy CD/DVD directly - uses SpeedburnR to copy the existing disc and allows you to specify the number of copies.

Burn copy of an already created video disc - uses SpeedburnR to write an existing disc image, which you select - see image below, and allows you to specify the number of copies.

Once set going all you have to do is feed the burner discs.

I prefer Nero because it can burn to multiple burners simultaneously - which speeds up the process for multiple copies.
