Menu templates missing

Brian-Chumbley wrote on 11/22/2018, 6:05 AM

I have just update my copy of Movie Edit Pro Premium to version 17.0.1.128 (udp3) ug code 8432 KA1 via your requested download from Video Deluxe 2017 Premium and now have lost most of the Menu Templates. Operating system Windows 10

When I reinstall my original version Video Deluxe 2017 Premium the Menu Templates are all there.

Please advise.

Dear Members. I can't find the template in MEP premium 2019 V18.0.2.235. I am sharing the link so you can see the template I am looking for. It seems I have downloaded all the extras via the help menu, and still can't find this content. Any help will be appreciated. Kind regards. Graham - South Africa

Hi

. . . . I can't find the template in MEP premium 2019 V18.0.2.235. I am sharing the link so you can see the template I am looking for. . . . .

It is far from clear which template(s) you have missing, the video linked to references several different templates.

Do you mean you have no templates or only a few of those demonstrated in the video?

If so have you downloaded and installed the second part of the program, under Help, Install extra content, that has additional effects, templates etc?

Thanks John for a very prompt response. It's the template that you create a video by adding photos or video. The blocks that you drag your pics and videos onto, have seconds on them which cannot be changed. These are the ones I can't find Thank you kindly. Regards Graham

@Graham-Swanepoel

You didn't indicate that you had downloaded and installed the extra content, as indicated by John EB. Did you?

@Graham-Swanepoel  @browj2

I have certainly downloaded and installed ALL the additional content shown as available but I see something very different to what John CB's screenshot shows:

I suspect this is what Graham is seeing! (Notice, I don't even see the Film Templates, Basic group!) ????

Quite recently, I had to completely uninstall and reinstall MEP Premium and, it seems from John's screenshot that not everything has actually returned.

I have to admit I rarely use MEP (VPX tends to be my app of choice) but there is clearly something here I need to investigate further!

Jeff

Update:  I see that single template is stored, on my machine, in C:\ProgramData\Magix\MovieEditProPremium\2019\... There is a parallel folder C:\.....\2018\... which contains those other templates, but merely copying them across from the 2018 folder to the parallel-named 2019 folder does NOT make them available to the later version.

Anyone any ideas about this apparent conundrum??

Hi Jeff

Like @browj2 I do have all the templates installed and confirmed as you can see below

@Graham-Swanepoel

. . . . installed the extra content . . . . .

To determine if the content has been installed - click Help, Install extra content and after acknowledging the next dialog, the dialog shown in the image above will appear and you can see if the content has been installed or not.

Hi John. Many thanks for that screenshot. Here's the parallel one from my machine. As you will see, apart from VdG and Vitascene 3LE (I have the full version of the latter), everything shows as "installed"???

Jeff

Edited to add:  I still have the installers for the additional content saved on my computer. Re-running either of those for the Movie Templates offers only the option to Remove. I wonder whether to allow that to occur and then to try reinstalling?

Hi

Thanks for the confirmation, it is 'good', in the sense that the issue is being experienced by both you and @emmrecs .

I would try both resetting the program back to its defaults and, if that does not work, uninstalling/re-installing the extras to see if the issue is fixed.
