ME Pro MX Premium: The ME screen appears then goes away. ME doesn't start.

When trying to run MovieEdit Pro MX Premium (ME) the initial screen appears for about 2 seconds then disappears. The program just quits.

I tried running the repair and that didn't change anything. I deleted the entire installation - downloaded the most recent version - reinstalled ME - the same thing happens.

I'm running XP SP3.

I just want to add that the same is happening to mine. It worked at first, but then I replaced the mobo and cpu, and had to reinstall MEP MX. I have tried reinstallling the program and the upgrade to v. 11.0.3.0. The upgrade shows success on the properties page, but the program still will not open. Just a quick splash screen.

As (bad) luck would have it, I learned that the 2012 version of Acronis TrueImage Home backup software was the culprit.

ME Pro MX works properly now that I've uninstalled Acronis. I also learned that Magix is supposed to come up with a solution but I won't be reinstalling Acronis until Acronis can fix the many installation problems with their product.
