Magix Travel Maps not displaying properly

Mark-Hall wrote on 5/16/2022, 9:24 PM

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with Magix Travel Maps.

When I start the program, I can choose a map - say Topographic - and then the top of the app displays a large blue bar which I can't get rid of. And, the maps are all wonky. I click on street maps, and I get a map of Germany which I can zoom, but as I zoom out, I get the big blue bar again at the top of the app .. when I zoom in, the bar disappears. The map is also limited in that it seems to only want to display Germany and won't 'redraw' to include other countries as I zoom out.

I have re-installed this program many times, tried downloading again, all with the same problem and at my wits end... very frustrating.

I've got a GeForce GTX1650 graphics card and even mucked around with settings in case it had something to do with hardware acceleration ... nothing I do changes Travel Maps though.

Hope you can help, cheers, Mark

@Mark-Hall

Hi,

See this thread. There is a problem with three of the four ESRI maps, not with Travel Maps. Reinstalling the program will do nothing. Magix is aware of this, but feel free to raise a ticket to remind them that this is a problem requiring an urgent fix, if possible.

The only map that works and is usable is OpenStreetMap Standard. Try that. ESRI Geographic map is the only ESRI map currently working.

Do not reinstall programs because something suddenly stops working correctly. Always check on the forums first, otherwise you may be creating more problems.

@jery-a

Hi,

The current version is 1.2.1.472 unless I missed something. The maps now work fine.
