Error 14 means that you are not entering the correct serial number for the particular product.

However, the install of PC Check and Tuning is an optional add-on when you install MEP, so no, you do not need it. If I were you, I would uninstall it!

Thank you Jeff. I've just changed from Windows 7 to Windows 10 so am finding my way around both the new Magix programme and the new way of working with Windows! I've noticed that on my new editing programme that there are no obvious lines for editing my film clips. Is there a way of seeing these on my screen 🤔. Thankyou.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean no obvious lines for editing my film clips but I'm going to assume you mean you cannot see the "tracks" into which you place the various video or audio or image etc. objects.

The Timeline work screen should look like this:

If you don't see those "tracks", click on the icon I have highlighted at the right hand side of the screen.
