Magix Music Maker Premium 2015 - Various VST Instruments and Object Synthesizers are missing

AndrzejB wrote on 1/21/2015, 5:10 AM

Hi everyone,

Today I purchased Magix Music Maker 2015 Premium and installed the program along with the bonus content. Within minutes I was happily creating a track however I noticed under the 'Instruments' section there were various VST Instruments and Object Synthesizers that were missing.

According to the manual Magix Music Maker 2015 Premium includes the following Object Synthesizers: Atmos, BeatBox 2, BeatBox 2 Plus, Loop Designer, Livid and Robota and VST Instruments: DN-e1, Revolta 2, Vita and Vita Solo instruments.

My program only shows Vita in the VST Instruments section and Beatbox 2, Loop Designer and Robota in the Object Synthesizers section.

Where and how do I access the other VST Instruments and Object Synthesizers that are supposed to be included with the program?

Can anybody assist?

Thank you.

Within 5 minutes of posting the above question I found the answer myself - I found the link in order  to download the additional VST Instruments and Object Synthesizers in the 'Help' section. I'm posting as others may find it useful. In the e-mail instructions there was a link to this page:

Information about installing and activating your Download Version

http://www.magix.com/index.php?id=20176&L=52&C=220

On that page it states the following:

Please note:

Because of their size, the download of some versions is split into multiple parts. In order to complete your version, download additional content directly in the program under the menu item Help. The exact wording depends on the particular program. You may find: "Free download," "Free content," or "Download free synthesizer and sound packages".

Activation may become invalid following changes to hardware. In such cases, please reenter your serial number and click in the activation dialog "Activate again".

Hi,

Glad to see that you sorted it out yourself and posted the reply. Unfortunately the reply will be lost in the bowels of the Q&A's. This question has been answered so many times (and replied to even when the question was not asked because it was obvious that the user had not downloaded the add-ons) that we need to find a way to make it more obvious. I will look into having this pinned to the top of the Music Maker discussion forum - see under the Forum tab.

As well, Magix should change their email message with the download information that simply says:

"For additional information about installing and activating your download version, please click here:
http://rdir.magix.net/?page=QUSECISOU1XK"

to indicate that there is more to be downloaded. I will raise this with Magix.

It seems that many users don't click on the above link and read the information.

Also, users seem to miss what shows in the following image:

In case you're interested, I have prepared this short video about getting started in MMM that I will clean up and post as a tutorial in a week or so.

Thanks browj2 for the helpful reply.

I was scratching my head for an hour or more before I posted my original message. I only discovered the solution by going through the confirmation e-mail one more time and reading everything on the vague "additional information" link. Yes, they do need to make it more obvious that there is much much more to download.

And yes, I missed the button on the Welcome window, but I wouldn't have necessarily guessed the "add-on package" was referring to the same thing that I was looking for seeing as I had already downloaded and installed the "bonus content" (which is of course a different thing altogether).

Thanks also for the excellent video tutorial. Everyone new to the software should view it.
