Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium Soundpool Issue

edward-vickers wrote on 5/28/2017, 5:49 AM

Hello!

I have Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium, as installed from a disc.

Upon opening the software, the 'Introduction' box appears, as with any Magix product, showing what the software is, and what is loading at that time. However, as the loading information is going through, it gets to 'Initializing Soundpools' and then freezes. The software does not open, as the loading is stuck at this point. I have left it as long as humanly possible (around 12 hours, once overnight, and again during the day) however this screen has not progressed.

I have also used the disc to repair the software, however the issue still occurs. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software to attempt to fix the problem, however this has not.

I would appreciate it if someone would please help me!

I am using a Windows 10 Operating System on a laptop.

I thought that the laptop may be an issue (as it is not a desktop computer) however other Magix software has run perfectly fine before, so I do not know what the issue it.

Please help!!! :)

Ed

Hi

@gary-robinson

Please do not hijack other users topics.

Your issue is different from the OP of this topic - the OP 's problem is a start-up issue where as your is a lost Soundpool issue due to reasons you have already explained in your post that has been answered here.

Magix changed the file format of newer Soundpools purchased through the Store and they only work on the latest version of MusicMaker - 2017 and only with a fairly recent patch. The new file extension is .mxcogg and these files cannot be played on anything other than MMM 2017. The previous Soundpools had .ogg and could be played with almost any audio program.

Somehow you should have a repair link to the problem I'm having if the best you can offer me is to go to the store and look for another program.

gary-robinson wrote on 5/30/2017, 2:56 PM

I have spent over $200 dollars on the sondloops in the last 2 weeks and that's your best answer are you a technician or a community help leader. And further more i don't have time to hijack other people when i have problems of my own i don't like your tone or the message that you sent me I will get a hold of the corporate office since you cannot help me

@gary-robinson

You have lost me. Why should I have a repair link to anything? This is a user forum and none of us here work for Magix. You stated "I have used all 6 steps that you sent me to reset the sound loop." Who sent you this, Magix? If so, then take it up with them, not us.

You have hijacked someone else's thread. I suggest that you create your own and give the correct information. You indicated that you are using MMM 2016, but the images are for 2017. Get your story straight. Did you update to the latest patch of whatever it is that you are using? Put this in a new thread.

Who should i go to for help?

browj2 wrote on 5/30/2017, 3:25 PM

Start by creating a new topic and supplying all of the requested information, including what you have done, what information you received, etc., and we will try to help you. Or, if you received a reply directly from Magix by email, as you seem to say, then reply to that email.

I would appriciate it if you can forward this matter to someone who have the knowledgd to repair this problem, you're asking me to start all over again with this matter I've been having this matter for 3 days.

browj2 wrote on 5/30/2017, 3:35 PM

Yes, put all of the information into your own thread, properly, in detail - or contact Magix support as you seem to indicate that you have already done. I cannot forward this to anyone. You have already been instructed by the Moderator of the forum to create your own thread, so do so.

Hi

@gary-robinson

There is an inconsistency in your posts you start off with the issue being with Magix Music Maker 2016 Premium, both above and in the other topic you hijacked, and Soundpools you have lost due to a technician freeing up hard drive space (other topic), however the image you posted above is Magix Music Maker Premium (2017).

As John CB has said create a new topic and give accurate information in particular, as I have asked before, the full name and version number of the program as it appears under Help, About . . .

Without accurate information and answers to questions you may be asked it makes it very difficult for us to help you and increases your frustration and that of other users who are trying to help you.

if you hit the More sounds from any other software you will get the sounds in the old format, or so they say

if you buy from MMM then yep they only work on there

but why they dont work in samplitude i will never no

they dont even work in Movie maker

Has someone tried this new file format in the latest MEP? I don't have it.

Sounds like a question for Magix.

Personally, if the new Soundpools don't also work in Samplitude and Video Pro X, I am not interested in purchasing any more. I would rather spend my money on new Sonicfire albums to get music for my videos and slideshows. In fact, Magix should work with Sonicfire to get a plugin for MEP / VPX.
