Hi I am using Magic Movie Edit Pro Plus (2022) version 21.0.1.85. Windows 10. None of my transitions are working. Not in the preview or when applied to the timeline. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks for the welcome Ray and a special thanks for taking your time to assist. The previous Movie edit Pro was 2020. Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz 12 GB Ram. Intel HD Graphics. Windows 10 Pro (20H2)
Your system has been under-powered for using Movie Edit Pro for some time now including the 2020 version where you would have had to turn off any hardware acceleration for it to work. To get any of the speed benefits from new versions you really need to exceed all the specified minimum requirements set out on the information pages for the program set out on the main Magix website. You may get the program running by going to your programs setup menu and setting all GPU functions to CPU or Microsoft WARP. Do not tick any hardware acceleration boxes when you render for export.
Each successive release of Movie Edit Pro or any other program normally needs upgraded components to get the improvements advertised. In in your Magix account your old version is still available for download I would suggest you uninstall your current version and re-download the old one or put up with a slower response from the current version which is still not 100% bug free.

It depends entirely on what you are doing with MEP. I'm working quite happily with MEP 2020 on my "old slowcoach" i5 of 2011 (and MEP 2019 before that).
I don't get any hardware acceleration at any point but it doesn't stop me using the program successfully.
It sounds to me like not having transitions "working at all" is more of a glitch rather than an underpowered computer.
Try a "Reset Program Settings to Defaults" via File>Settings (if that is the path in MEP 2022).
Thank you very much for the suggestions and feedback. I tried a "Reset Program Settings to Defaults" via File>Settings and still no transitions effect except for the movements, shapes and the effects basic groups. (The other transition groups in the preview window I can see the A and then B but no transition effect)
Set the other two boxes to CPU as your Intel GPU cannot be used by MEP as the internal electronic architecture of the GPU does not allow it to use Direct X 11. Do that by just opening Movie Edit Pro without loading a project first and then closing the program. That will help the program remember the settings. Then open the program and load a project.
[EDIT] Correction. It does support Direct X 11 but is possibly not powerful enough to process frames fast enough when some effects are applied when editing, hence not being on Movie Edit Pro's list of acceptable components.Still change the other two boxes to CPU.
It may be useful to other users to post back in a short while as to whether you think this version is working better for you than MEP 2020 did. It may help us to recommend whether it would be worth upgrading to or not.
