Magix Movie Edit Pro MX ver 11.0.3.0 will not properly play any MP4 file on the video monitor of the edit screen

Just installed Magix Movie Edit Pro MX ver 11.0.3.0.   The program will not properly play any MP4 file on the video monitor of the edit screen.

When I attempted to place the first MP4 file into the edit screen, the program informed me that it needed to obtain a license for MP4, which the system did quickly and then informed me the license was installed successfully.   However from that point on, every single Mp4 video I try to run will jump.  That is to say the video playback (in the editing monitor, when I hit the spacebar key) will run, then stop, then run a few seconds, then stop a few seconds, etc.

I am running Win 7 64, 4GB ram,  with a good AMD processor and a Radeon 2.10Hz graphics card.  I have no problem running graphics anywhere

I purchased Movie Edit Pro because I was running a trial version of the Corel Viedo Studio Pro X5 but I was missing some functionality that Magix is offering.   Please note that all MP4 files played perfectly (and continue to play perfectly) on my computer, so the problem does not appear to be my PC.

My guess is that the problem is with the Mp4 codec but I see nowhere on Movie Edit Pro where I can fix that.

Please Help!

Klick Help - Online Update to get the newest update version, 11.0.5.0. Perhaps this will solve your problems.

Hi

Can you be more specific about your computer spec ie what is a 'good AMD processor'  ?

Please give us the full spec of your computer see here.

More information about the video files will also help - are they HD video files?

John

Aseoli:  THANK YOU.  I updated the program (although the new version - 11.0.4.4 - is different to what you suggest) and now the MP4 plays smoothly.  Again... Thanks!
