Magix Movie Edit Pro 16: Why are objects grouping automatically?

I'm making an arangemet using several different files. When i try to move any object it automatically links with ANYTHING around it. i.e. the objects on track 1 are linking with track 2 and thats linking with track 3 etc. I'm stuggling to separate them nothing is working. I tried "Ungrouping" i never grouped them to begin with. I'm afraid to close it and refresh because i already had to close it once before after hours of working on it, and even though i pressed save like THREE times it said the file didnt exist and i had to start from scratch!

This is driving me INSANE. ive been trying to fix it for hours. I should be doen with my project by now, please help!!

It is probably the mouse mode you are in...

I think if you are in All Tracks Mouse Mode, then it will move everything after and below the object you have selected to move. You will want to be in either Universal Mouse Mode (thought that too might prove to have a similar result) or better the Object Mouse Mode to move one single object.

There will be a icon for the mouse modes on the lower toolbar just above the time-line arranger. There should be a drop-down window that you can then change the selection for the mouse mode you are in...

OMG. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Dude you are my savior right now. I have been working on this project for prolly over 5 hours. And 75% of the reason it took so long was cuz of this link issue. You are awesome. I should be done in no time now. A million thumbs up to you sir!!
