Magix Edit Pro 16 without codecs, w/o support!!

When I try to open videofiles in Magix Edit Pro 16 it demands codecs for mpeg. But it will not allow me to

activate as "activation is not possible"

When I check my purchased Products it ony lists "Goya BurnR" and "Photo Manager 2007" and not my Magix Edit Pro Plus, and when I try to register that program the msg is "Serial number already used, check support.magix.net" which is not surprising since I registered it in 2010.

We need more information:-

What is your computer specification, Windows version and whether it is 32 or 64 bit?

Was the codec working, if so what has changed on the computer since it last worked?

MEP 16 is no longer supported, however you should still be able to activate the codec.

When you drag a mpeg video onto the timeline is the software asking you to activate the mpeg codec?

What happens when you try to activate - do you get any messages?

Did you register the software with Magix and is it patched to the last version available?

Hello Johebaker.

I got Vista Ultimate 32 bit. An Intel quadro 2,4 processor.

I have been using the codec for years when editing AVCHD video. Then after a crash and reinstall of the

Magix Edit Pro 16 I am told that the codec activation is not valid and that I must contact with Magix support.

Yes when I try to activate I get above msg.

I am registret with Magix.

I do hope you can help me.

Thank you for the extra information.

I would suggest you email Sales at Magix.com - explain what has happened - they should be able to reset everything at their end for you.
