MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab 10 start up message

Bill-Anderson wrote on 5/12/2021, 3:18 PM

Upon start up in Windows 10 I now get the message:

-- Cannot save Unlock Key to harddrive.

-- Please contact the MAGIX support team.

If I click OK it starts fine, I just want to get rid of the message.

Also, I now have to have the CD in the drive to run. Perhaps I have to reload?

Anyone know how I can get rid of this message, or do I definitely have to go to the support team?

Thanks

@Bill-Anderson The software is really old and very likely doesn't run under Windows 10. It looks like the copy protection doesn't work in such a modern system. You need Windows XP to run it.

Or you can get Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab (from 2019) and other Magix programs for very little here: https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/fanatical-music-bundle-2-by-magix

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it is old, but it still works, even under Windows 10. I had loaded it on to this PC when I built it as Windows7 back in Dec of 2015, and I did the update to Windows 10 about 2 years ago. I just haven't had a need to run ACL10 until now.

So, the message is just a slow down, I click OK and the program runs fine.

I will look at the link you gave me, thanks for that.
