MAGIX-ANALOGUE DATA TRANSFER FAILING- VIDEO OK BUT NO AUDIO

Bozena wrote on 6/18/2015, 10:18 PM

HELP me please as I can't get LIFEHELP  to contact me for last 2 days  (Australia)

Windows7, MAGIX video Easy SE no version specified

I got video but no audio while transferring.

Its no wonder as when choosing connection from drop down I see USB 2861 VIDEO (USB-DShow)

How I could get audio element to work!

I bought this software 2 years ago and few times have tried but got no results.

Its this version is "too old" ? Should I upgrade? I assume that this  is software issue not that device.

How I could be sure that the next $100 give me good results?

What's your thoughts?

Is there anything new/workable software on the market that you could recomend?

Bozena

Hi

Have you followed the instructions in the installed PDF manual for connecting the video source and recording?

Hi

In Video Easy on the import dialog - see image below - select the Advanced button, here you can select the audio source - this needs changing to the appropriate device.

Hi

Thanks for getting back so quick.

. . . . I expect that something #3 should be like DVD2861AUDIO  to allow me specify that source. . . . .

You are correct.

With the USB 2826 device plugged in :

  1. Right click the speaker icon bottom right of the Windows desktop and select Recording devices

  2. In the pane that opens right click on a blank part in the centre of the pane.

  3. Check both Show disabled devices and Show connected devices

  4. The USB device should then appear

  5. Right click it and Enable it

You should now be able to select it in Video Easy - if not:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and right click Computer on the left pane and select Manage

  2. In Computer Management window that opens select Device manager in the left pane

  3. In the right pane click the triangle next to Sound, video and game controllers

  4. You should see a USB audio device listed.

  5. If there is a device there with a yellow question mark then the device has not been detected correctly or a driver is missing

  6. To correct this right click the device and select Update Driver Software then either :

  7. if you have a disc with drivers for the USB device then insert this into the DVD drive and select Browse my computer and browse to the disc,   then click Next and continue through the dialogs

  8. otherwise click Next and continue through the dialogs.

If there is no device in Sound, video and game controllers, then open the Other Devices option if it is there.

Repeat steps 5 to 8.
