Hi I’m using sound forge 15 on my windows 10 machine , and I’m having problems with m4a files from I tunes , I have brought a album on I tunes , it has no drm on the file , I want to use the batch process in sound forge , but it won’t see the m4a files , it’s fine on anything else for batch conversion, but it won’t see the m4a files ?

According to the specifications the .m4a file format is not supported by Sound Forge 15.

M4a files generally use the Advanced Audio Codec. (AAC, Quicktime)
Try changing the <.m4a> file extension to <.mp4> .. if that works, you can add an 'Open with Sound Forge' in the context menu for the <.m4a> file type. I use 'Default Program Editor' to add a context menu file type, change a file type descriptions, associations and icons. If the file does not open with the <.mp4> file extension, you will likely need to install an AAC codec like QuickTime Alternative.
To find out if your particular m4a files are AAC encoded, install 'MediaInfo' which will list media files' attributes in detail.
