Loading personal drum sounds into Drum Engine

How do you load your own sounds into an instrument such as Drum Engine? Then can you edit which pad on the Engine corresponds to your Midi?

So, I've been using MMM for a long time. My children even use it now. I have Music Maker Premium 2018 but is completely updated and I believe it comes up as MMM25 now. I'm using Novation Launchkey Mini Mk2 with Focusrite Scarlett Solo for input. I also have Samplitude but don't really use it much just because I'm used to Music Maker look.

Here's the issue. In the old drum machine (beatbox) you could dropdown each layer within the vst and you would get options on which sound/instrument you wanted to use. I have an extensive sound library I have either collected or created that I'd prefer to the preloaded sounds. I am accustomed to using them chopped as wave samples but would like to be able to use the pads on my midi rather than placing them. How do I accomplish this? I also would like to know how to edit the correspondence of each pad as they do not match at the start. Example: Drum Engine pad 1 is pad 7 on my midi.

I have tried tweaking the drum map editor and as cumbersome as that might be for most users, I don't mind it if that's what it takes to get the results I want, but I do need some guidance with that as well. Thank you in advance.

That would be interesting for me, too.

You'll be interested to know that it's not possible.

Thank you for your answer. But is there any way to import own audio files like kicks and snares in wav format into a VST?

You need a VST sample player perhaps a freebie like Grace. Costly drum VSTs can certainly do it.
