Since I upgraded to Acid Music Studio 11 and Sound Forge Audio Studio 14, I can't get the audio editing links between the two programs to work properly. I use Sound Forge to edit level, length and pitch of clips to fit them into beatmapped projects, but Sound Forge keeps dropping the links when I close it, so I get crashes and lost changes. I also find that changes to pitch and/or duration get overwritten when I put the file back into Acid, perhaps because the beatmapping function just picks up the new clip and fits it back into exactly the same space as the earlier version.
The other members of my band use other programs, and can't work with click-tracks, so they send me audio files with a lot to do. Time-shifting and pitch-shifting are vital changes that I have to make.
I started years ago with Acid 6 and Sound Forge 8. They worked together seamlessly but over the years it's got worse, not better. I'm beginning to feel that I should dump Acid entirely and use Music Maker. Right now I could upgrade to Acid Pro for £60 or buy Music Maker for £60 (if that works better) I'd like the advice of other users who are NOT having problems.
