Licence / Copyright documentation

David-Pook wrote on 12/18/2020, 4:24 AM

I bought the commercial licence soundpools for various things and I want to ensure that any music i produce is not going to be questioned.

Therefore, I am looking to find the documentation I can provide as proof for having a commercial licence on other websites.

I found something on here, but the link doesnt work.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or show me where I can find documentation for each soundpool I have purchased please?

Thanks in advance

David

@David-Pook

You should have gotten an order confirmation to your mail address after you bought a license.

Hi

. . . . commercial licence soundpools for various things and I want to ensure that any music i produce is not going to be questioned . . . .

That cannot be be guaranteed - there are many 'scrapers' who troll music sites looking for music that they can try and claim copyright infringement with or without also demanding a fee or takedown. For the likes of Youtube, Spotify etc this is a frequent occurrence especially if the 'claimants' have used the same or similar Soundpool loops.

In the event of such a claim you tell YT, Spotify etc that you have the Commercial Licences and that any similarity is a result of using preset loops and sounds supplied with Music Maker.

You could add a line such as 'Made using Music Maker with commercially licenced Soudpools and loops', however this will not deter some 'scrapers from trying.

The only way to create music and avoid these issues is to avoid using loops altogether ie you create an 'original piece of work' (music score) and use the various Instruments, Synthesizers, Drum Engines etc within the program to create the final product either by playing them, if you have a MIDI keyboard, or using the MIDI Editor to 'write' the notes and avoid using well known riffs, beat patterns etc. You can then claim Copyright over the piece of work.
