Hi

. . . .the on-screen keyboard on Magix Music Maker 17 is for some reason really big. . . .

Do you mean Music Maker 17 or 2017 (otherwise known as Music Maker) - please give the full name and version number as found under Help, About.

If 2017 - do you mean it looks like this

instead of this

If so note the Scale major button is deselected in the lower image.

If the keyboard is as the lower image but is displayed very large try pressing F4 to reset to default layout.

I mean Music Maker (20)17, yeah. Version: 24.1.6.127 (UDP3).

That image isn't what I mean. The on screen keyboard is oversized and low-resolution.

Hi

Thanks for the screen shot - here is how to fix the keyboard size:

Awesome, thanks. Re-sizing it and moving it has helped. Is there also a way that I can stop the keyboard and arranger windows overlapping each other? So that instead, they fit onto the window together fully? I used to be able to have it that way but now they overlap.

Hi

. . . .So that instead, they fit onto the window together fully? . . . .

Pressing F4 to reset the layout should have done that.

Alternatively ensure that all panes are visible as shown below then adjust as follows - referring to the pane numbers in the image:-

To increase the size of pane 1 - reduce the width of 2 and 3 then increase the width of 1, then adjust the heights of 2 and 3 if required

To increase the size of panes 2 and 3 - reduce the width of 1, then adjust 2 and 3, you can then adjust the heights of 2 and 3 if required

Close and then restart MMM this should save the layout.

Note: when a pane reaches it maximum size to stay within the window you will see it jump slightly to an edge - you can see this in the video above at 30 seconds for the left edge and 34 seconds for the right edge of the keyboard pane.

Once the layout sticks use the two buttons top right of the window, indicated by the red ellipse, to maximise your work area as required.

If you require additional panes visible - see under View menu - eg then adjust the height and/or width of the appropriate pane to make room for the extra one you need.

Note: the Mastering Effects and Audio Effects racks cannot be resized.

If you are working with 2 monitors then you have more options eg moving the timeline to one monitor and the rest on the other as shown below.

i see... this keyboard adjust scalability to set monitors.. but when you monitors are adjusted as top and botom this coses a problem.. cant seam to reconfigure it to only show within the keyboard window. it only stretches out beyond 2 screens.
