I am looking for a good video editing software so am trying out Magix, getting on really well however when I get to the finished film and I want to burn onto disc, the program doesn't seem to recognise my burner? the burner field is blank in the Magix burn screen and doesnt allow any browsing or modifying..I have an easynote TJ68 6 months old running windows 7...anybody had the same problem?

If there is nothing in the field for the burner hardware listing under the first step, then in fact you are correct, and the MAGIX burn routines you have does not have communication.

Some things I suggest.

1. Update the MAGIX Movie Edit Pro (any patches)
2. Update the MAGIX Burn Routines
3. Update the Firmware for your burner.

Age of the PC or Laptop has nothing to do with the hardware used in the system nor the protocols they use to control the hardware. Updating is essential, and can greatly improve performance... hopefully in your case it allows performance.

If you need the file immediately, export the entire project as a MPEG-2 file and use the burning software that your computer/burner comes with.

There could be a communications conflict with other software installed, this is not as common these days, but can still be an issue.
