Is there any way to remove just music-songs from background of videos?

Just wondered if MEp offers the feature of removing music (songs) from videos, while preserving the rest of the audio (such as human voices)?

Currently I'm doing it using AfterEffects + Adobe Audtion (free-trial), however MEP offers the same function, that'd be preferable?

@Apollo89x

No, not in MEP, or any Magix product that I am aware of, sorry!

However, if you are using Audition, in my experience that includes one of the best facilities for Centre Channel Extraction, whereby you can either reduce the level of that Centre Channel (with the bonus of being able to decide how "wide" the centre is) or reduce the level of the R and L channels.

BUT, it is far from perfect and, given that the audio of the music (songs) will almost certainly be spread across the stereo spectrum, the degree of "success" you achieve is likely to be limited, to say the least.

Hello and thanks for the reply.

It turned-out that Adobe Audition was of no actual use at all for this task...!!
*Since the ''remove vocal'' option in AA simply removed ALL AUDIO from the video (including the background sounds of the subject moving/dancing) | Rather than simply removing the music-video song (which was being played during the video).

The best option I found was actually using MEP, and in the Audio Cleaning function compressing the speech down at the highest ratio available.
(As this atleast reduced the level of the singer in the music video | Whilst keeping the rest of the video sounds at their true level)

Not within MEP, not really.

RX9 Standard’s Music Rebalance tool might be what you are after.

They even have a fully functional trial version.

Hello and thankyou very much.

That RX9 software does look like it'd do the job perfectly | But unfortunately the free-trial they offer doesn't include the feature to actually export to video after it's edited. :(

While RX7 can open video file, It’s strictly an audio editor. It only lets you export the audio component once processed.

Very few video editors would have the ability to remove background music with the fidelity that a dedicated audio editor would be able to.

You will probably find that any solution will specifically be an external audio editor that handles just the audio component.

Of course. you can then reimport the exported audio into MEP once it's done.

You might still want to consider RX9 standard (or even Advanced if your budget allows) as it contains many other features that are useful for audio restoration. Many individual modules can even be loaded as plugins inside MEP.

RX9 does go on sale from time to time.

Thanks, but fortunately I literally only require it for 6-8 videos (a few mins length each).
So I'd not be looking to spend any money on software for them.
