As far as I know, Magix does not offer "upgrade" paths to their software products, nor should they in my opinion based on the prices they charge.  If you buy a $1000 product, yes you might expect a upgrade path.  If you buy a product for under $100, just purchase the latest version.  Mep is now at Movie Edit Pro 18 and well worth the price.  Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $30 for the "premium" version.  If you already want the features of the "plus" version it will not be long before you wish you had the features of the "premium" version.
