ipod sync problems

originally Magix seemed to recognize some of the items on my ipod, but now, (after I reset the Ipod because not all the music on it could be accessed), the Magix program won't even let me input the Ipod as a portable device. What am I missing?

If you updated the iPod through iTunes it might be that the update has purposely stopped third party software for accessing parts of the device.

I am assuming you have MP3 Maker, which might require its own update to all this connectivity again.
